Playfirst recently introduced Diner Dash 2 (download free trial here), the sequel to their 2005 smash hit, Diner Dash. The first game really defined the "restaurant/customer management" category for casual games, directing Flo the heroine to serve customers in her restaurant with an increasingly faster pace, different types of customers, and additional restaurant features.
Diner Dash 2 builds on that successful formula, introducing improvements such as 5 new types of restaurants, additional ways to improve the look of the restaurants at the end of each round, and new types of customers (food critics, babies with high chairs, and mops to clean up the inevitable spills). The graphics have been upgraded a notch, as has the music, but the gameplay continues to be as solid as the original. The interesting part is that it appears to have a somewhat higher level of difficulty than in other similar games, which can be a little frustrating in the earlier rounds, but it probably keeps users coming back for more.
Verdict: Exactly what you would expect from a sequel - will be a huge hit. Get it here
