Indie game studio ChasingDogs has introduced Tino's Fruit Stand (download free trial here), a matching puzzle game where your monkey Rikki has to pick the correct sequence of fruit for each customer before they leave the stand - do it enough times correctly and Tino can fight off the evil MegaMart which has just opened up next door.
Tino's Fruit Stand follows the general matching gameplay seen in many casual games, but it adds in a nice mix of some of the customer management features seen in hits like Diner Dash 2. The game has a good sense of humor, with entertaining music and background audio, as well as simple, but effective graphics. As you make enough money, you're able to improve the fruit stand and pay down your loan from MegaMart, so you see results from your work each round. And the game gradually introduces more features, such as difficult customers, specific fruit you need to pick, and fruit boxes which block your progress. Difficult seems to scale nicely as you succeed.
